Dr. Mara Einstein is an internationally recognized expert on deceptive marketing tactics. She enjoyed stints as a marketing executive at NBC, MTV Networks, and at major advertising agencies before becoming a full-time professor at the City University of New York. She is the author of eight books, including "Hoodwinked: How marketers use the same tactics as cults." You also might recognize Dr. Einstein from "Buy Now! The Shopping Conspiracy," the Netflix documentary about overconsumption, marketing, and its impact on society and the planet.
