Michael Camp is an author, podcaster, faith deconstruction coach, amateur historian, and a former conservative evangelical. He spent 25 years as an evangelical missionary to Muslims, an aid worker in Africa, and a leader in conservative/charismatic churches before experiencing a huge faith shift. His specialty is drawing on history to help people deconstruct from conservative Christianity and reconstruct Jesus' subversive path of peace without religion. Michael runs a deconstruction support group and a Religious Deconstruction Workshop that sheds light on historical views of the Bible, church, and salvation. Moreover, it introduces cognitive/philosophical techniques that make faith deconstruction easier. He also facilitates empowerment projects for the poor in East Africa thru his local Rotary Club in Bainbridge Island, WA. He lives near Seattle with his wife Lori where he hangs out with grandchildren, hikes and bikes the Pacific Northwest, and plays bad rounds of golf.
